Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 4 August 2026
Welcome to Trishtara Kashi.
These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of trishtarakashi.com, including its webpages, online store, product information, customer-account facilities where enabled, personalised shopping assistance, WhatsApp support, video-shopping services and related communications.
They also apply, wherever relevant, to orders, enquiries and services arranged through other official Trishtara Kashi channels.
By accessing the website, creating or using an account, submitting an enquiry or placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and the policies referred to in them.
Where any provision conflicts with a mandatory requirement of applicable law, the mandatory legal requirement will prevail to the extent of that conflict.

Trishtara Kashi is a Varanasi-based saree business offering premium Banarasi sarees, personalised saree-selection assistance and related shopping services.
2. Scope of These Terms
These Terms apply, wherever relevant, to website use, enquiries, orders, payments and services made or arranged through:
- trishtarakashi.com;
- WhatsApp;
- Instagram or Facebook;
- email or telephone;
- personal video-shopping sessions;
- approved direct-payment arrangements; and
- other official Trishtara Kashi sales channels.
The website is intended primarily for retail consumers purchasing for personal use. Wholesale, reseller, commercial or marketplace arrangements require separate written confirmation from Trishtara Kashi.
3. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract under applicable law.
A person who is not legally capable of contracting should use the website and purchasing facilities only through a parent, guardian or other legally authorised person.
You must provide accurate, complete and current information while creating an account, submitting an enquiry, making payment or placing an order.
4. Customer Accounts and Guest Checkout
Depending on the website settings currently enabled, a customer may be permitted to place an order as a guest or may be required to create or use a customer account.
Where an account is created or used, the customer is responsible for:
- maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials;
- protecting access to the device and account;
- providing accurate contact, billing and delivery information;
- updating information that is no longer correct; and
- informing Trishtara Kashi promptly about suspected unauthorised account use.
We may suspend or restrict an account where we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse, security risk, unlawful activity or material breach of these Terms.
5. Product-Specific Information
Each saree is described individually based on the information, inspection and sourcing records reasonably available for that product.
Product information may include fabric or material, weaving or production technique, colour, zari appearance, body motifs, border, pallu, blouse piece, dimensions, weight, occasion, care guidance and other relevant details.
Descriptions such as “handloom”, “handwoven”, “pure silk”, “Silk Mark”, “real zari”, “certified”, geographical origin or similar claims will be used only where the relevant claim is specifically confirmed or appropriately qualified for that product.
A statement applicable to one saree must not be assumed to apply to every product sold by Trishtara Kashi.
Customers should read the complete product description, attributes, care guidance and applicable policy information before placing an order.
6. Craft and Handloom Variations
Where a product is specifically described as handloom, handwoven, handcrafted or artisan-made, it may contain minor variations in weave, yarn, texture, motif alignment, selvedge, colour distribution or finishing.
Such characteristics may arise from the handmade nature of the product and do not automatically constitute a manufacturing defect.
A claim may still be considered where the product is materially defective, damaged, incorrect or materially different from the description or representations provided by Trishtara Kashi.
7. Product Images, Colour and Styled Visuals
We make reasonable efforts to represent products accurately. However, product colours may appear differently because of photography, lighting, image processing, screen calibration, device settings and the reflective character of fabric or zari.
Some images may be styled, editorially presented or created with AI-assisted visualisation to help customers understand a possible drape or styling presentation.
Styled or AI-assisted images are visual representations and do not replace actual product-detail photographs, written product information or live video-shopping verification.
For exact body motifs, border, pallu, blouse piece, weave, zari appearance and colour understanding, customers should review all available product-detail images and may request a personal video-shopping session before purchase.
8. Prices, GST and Additional Charges
Unless otherwise stated, prices displayed or quoted for domestic orders are in Indian Rupees and inclusive of applicable GST.
The total amount payable to Trishtara Kashi will be displayed at checkout or confirmed in writing before payment.
Complimentary standard shipping is presently offered for eligible deliveries within India.
International shipping, express delivery, customs charges, fall-pico, tassel work, stitching, alteration, special sourcing or another separately requested service may involve additional charges.
Any additional charge payable to Trishtara Kashi will be disclosed or confirmed before the customer approves payment.
We may correct a genuine pricing, typographical, technical, configuration or product-information error. Where a material error affects an order, we may request the customer’s approval to proceed on corrected terms or cancel the affected order and refund the amount received.
9. Product Availability and Stock Reservation
Products may be unique, limited in quantity, available as a single piece, held temporarily with a supplier, artisan or weaver, or offered through more than one official Trishtara Kashi sales channel.
Adding a product to a cart, enquiry, WhatsApp shortlist, customer account or—where such a feature is available—a wishlist or saved collection does not reserve it.
A product is ordinarily reserved only after:
- full payment, or another expressly agreed payment, has been received;
- payment has been verified;
- stock and price have been reconfirmed; and
- Trishtara Kashi has issued written or electronic order confirmation.
Where the same limited product is requested by more than one customer, priority may be given to the first successfully paid and confirmed order.
10. Order Acknowledgement and Final Acceptance
An automated order number, payment acknowledgement, website notification or customer-side payment message may confirm receipt of a request or payment status but does not by itself guarantee final order acceptance.
Final acceptance remains subject to:
- successful payment verification;
- product availability;
- price and selected-service verification;
- customer and delivery information;
- delivery serviceability;
- reasonable fraud and security review;
- product quality check; and
- written or electronic confirmation from Trishtara Kashi.
Trishtara Kashi may decline or cancel an order for reasonable grounds, including product unavailability, failed stock verification, material pricing or product-information error, payment failure, suspected fraud, incorrect customer information, delivery limitation, legal restriction, quality-control failure or circumstances outside reasonable control.
Where Trishtara Kashi cancels a prepaid order for a reason not attributable to the customer, the amount received for the unfulfilled product and any unprovided standard service will be refunded in full.
11. Payment Methods
Depending on the payment facilities currently enabled, available methods may include:
- UPI;
- debit or credit cards;
- net banking;
- supported digital wallets;
- other online methods displayed at checkout;
- direct bank transfer where specifically approved; and
- separately approved international payment arrangements.
Cash on Delivery is not available.
Customers should use only payment details displayed at checkout or expressly confirmed through an official Trishtara Kashi channel.
An order will not be treated as paid merely because a payment screenshot has been submitted. Payment must be successfully received or independently verified.
Customers must never share an OTP, UPI PIN, card PIN, CVV, ATM PIN, internet-banking password or similar confidential payment credential with Trishtara Kashi or anyone claiming to represent it.
12. Domestic Shipping and Dispatch
Ready-stock products are ordinarily dispatched within 2–4 business days after payment and order confirmation, unless a different timeline is stated or communicated.
Sundays and public holidays are not counted as business days for this dispatch estimate.
Domestic delivery ordinarily takes approximately 3–8 business days after dispatch. Delivery periods are estimates and may vary because of destination, courier operations, public holidays, weather, government restrictions, remote-area serviceability or other circumstances outside reasonable control.
Orders may be dispatched through a suitable courier or logistics provider selected by Trishtara Kashi. The provider may vary by destination, serviceability and operational requirements.
Tracking details will ordinarily be shared after dispatch where available.
13. Correct Delivery Information
The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate recipient name, address, landmark where necessary, PIN code, city, state, email address and active telephone number.
Where a shipment is delayed, returned or becomes undeliverable because of incorrect or incomplete customer information, recipient unavailability, refusal of delivery or another customer-side issue, actual re-shipping, return-to-origin or related courier costs may be payable by the customer where legally permissible.
This will not apply where the delivery problem arose because of an error attributable to Trishtara Kashi.
14. International Orders
International orders may be handled outside the standard website checkout through individually confirmed arrangements.
Product availability, payment method, shipping cost, estimated delivery timeline, documentation and order-specific conditions will be confirmed before acceptance.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, the customer is responsible for destination-country customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, local levies and other charges imposed outside India.
International delivery timelines are estimates and may be affected by customs clearance, destination-country procedures, courier operations and events outside reasonable control.
15. Cancellation
A cancellation request is not automatically approved merely because it has been submitted.
A standard ready-stock order may ordinarily be considered for cancellation only before dispatch and before any customer-specific work, special sourcing or irreversible service has begun.
Cancellation is effective only after written confirmation from Trishtara Kashi.
Once an order has been dispatched, or customer-specific work has begun, change-of-mind cancellation will not ordinarily be accepted.
No arbitrary fixed cancellation penalty will be imposed. Any amount that remains non-refundable will be limited to an actual, relevant, customer-approved and legally permissible cost or completed service value.
All cancellations are governed by the separate Cancellation Policy.
16. Returns, Refunds and Exchanges
We do not accept returns, refunds or exchanges merely because of change of mind, personal preference, dislike of colour, change of occasion, incorrect selection by the customer or another reason unrelated to an eligible product issue.
A claim may be considered where:
- the product received is materially defective;
- the product was materially damaged in transit;
- a wrong product was delivered; or
- the product is materially different from the description or representations provided by Trishtara Kashi.
A visible issue should ordinarily be reported within 48 hours of delivery. A defect not reasonably discoverable during an initial inspection should be reported promptly after discovery.
The customer should provide the order number, a clear written explanation, relevant photographs and, where available, an unboxing video or other reasonable evidence.
The absence of one particular form of evidence will not automatically defeat a genuine claim where the matter can otherwise be reasonably verified.
Products must not be returned without written approval and return instructions.
All return, replacement, exchange and refund claims are governed by the separate Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy.
17. Fall-Pico, Tassels, Stitching and Alterations
Selected customer-specific services may be offered subject to product suitability and operational availability.
The customer must review and confirm the requested service before work begins.
Once customer-approved fall-pico, tassel, stitching, alteration or similar work has begun:
- change-of-mind cancellation will not ordinarily be accepted;
- completed or commenced service charges may remain non-refundable;
- the product may no longer be eligible for a normal change-of-mind return or exchange; and
- the order may continue to be processed for dispatch.
This restriction does not remove a genuine claim relating to an incorrect product, material damage, pre-existing material defect, materially incorrect customisation or a product materially different from what was expressly agreed.
18. Made-to-Order and Special Sourcing
Made-to-order weaving, special sourcing or customer-specific procurement may be accepted or declined after reviewing feasibility, artisan availability, material availability, price, timeline and the customer’s requirements.
Where a request is accepted, the product or design specifications, approximate colour and material requirements, price, payment requirement, estimated timeline and relevant limitations should be confirmed in writing.
Once weaving, procurement, sourcing or customer-specific work has begun, change-of-mind cancellation will not ordinarily be accepted.
An estimated completion date is not an absolute guarantee where delay arises from artisan availability, material sourcing, quality-control rejection, transport disruption, force majeure or another circumstance outside reasonable control.
Custom and made-to-order arrangements are governed by the separate Custom & Made-to-Order Policy.
19. Product Care
Customers should follow the product-specific care guidance provided with the product or on its product page.
Unless otherwise stated, professional dry cleaning is recommended for premium sarees.
Customers should avoid improper washing, excessive heat, harsh chemicals, moisture exposure, unsuitable storage and unauthorised alteration.
Damage caused after delivery by improper washing, storage, ironing, chemical exposure, alteration, normal wear or customer handling is not treated as an original product defect.
20. Personal Video Shopping and Assistance
Personalised recommendations, WhatsApp support and video-shopping assistance are intended to help customers make informed decisions.
The customer should disclose important requirements such as occasion, budget, colour preference, fabric preference, delivery deadline and other essential criteria before completing the purchase.
Recommendations, availability and prices discussed during a conversation remain subject to final written confirmation, payment verification and stock verification.
The final purchase decision remains with the customer, subject to the rights and remedies available under applicable law and the relevant policies.
21. Promotions, Coupons and Offers
A promotional code, discount, complimentary service or special offer:
- applies only during its stated validity period;
- may be subject to product, customer, order-value or usage restrictions;
- cannot ordinarily be exchanged for cash;
- may not be combined unless expressly permitted; and
- may be withdrawn or corrected where issued because of an error, misuse or technical problem.
No discount, free service or special condition is binding unless displayed by the website or confirmed through an authorised Trishtara Kashi channel.
22. Website Use and Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- use the website for unlawful or fraudulent activity;
- attempt unauthorised access to the website, customer accounts or systems;
- introduce malware, malicious code or disruptive technology;
- copy or commercially exploit website content without permission;
- provide false identity, payment, delivery or order information;
- place fraudulent, abusive or speculative orders;
- misuse customer-support or grievance facilities;
- publish fabricated content while misrepresenting yourself as a customer; or
- infringe the intellectual-property, privacy or legal rights of Trishtara Kashi or another person.
We may restrict access, suspend an account, cancel an affected order or take appropriate lawful action where material misuse is reasonably suspected.
23. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the website’s branding, logo, product descriptions, photographs, graphics, videos, layouts, written content and other materials are owned by, licensed to or lawfully used by Trishtara Kashi.
Website content may be viewed for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes.
No material may be copied, reproduced, modified, republished, sold, distributed or commercially exploited without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
24. Customer Reviews and Submitted Content
Where a customer voluntarily submits a review, photograph, testimonial or video, Trishtara Kashi will seek appropriate permission before using identifiable customer content for promotional, website, social-media or advertising purposes.
Any permission will be limited by the scope agreed with the customer.
Trishtara Kashi may decline or remove content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading, irrelevant, infringes another person’s rights or contains unauthorised personal information.
25. Privacy and Communications
Personal data is handled in accordance with the separate Privacy Policy.
Transactional communications may be sent for account management, payment, order confirmation, stock verification, dispatch, delivery, returns, refunds, complaints and customer-service purposes.
A product enquiry or purchase will not by itself be treated as consent for unrelated promotional communication.
Marketing messages will be sent only where the customer has specifically requested or consented to receive them, or where otherwise permitted under applicable law.
Customers may withdraw marketing consent through the method provided in the communication or by contacting Trishtara Kashi.
26. Third-Party Services
The website and business operations may rely on independent service providers for hosting, payments, email, security, analytics where enabled, communications, couriers and other technology or operational functions.
Third-party services may be governed by their own terms, availability, security procedures and privacy practices.
Trishtara Kashi is not responsible for a third party’s independent website, platform or service, but this clause does not remove any responsibility that Trishtara Kashi is legally required to bear.
27. Website Availability
We make reasonable efforts to keep the website available, secure and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or permanently available access.
The website may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, hosting or network failure, software updates, payment-gateway interruption, cybersecurity measures, technical error or events outside reasonable control.
We may update, suspend or discontinue a website feature where reasonably necessary.
28. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Trishtara Kashi will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from website interruption, an independent third-party service failure, customer misuse, incorrect customer-provided information or use contrary to these Terms.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, it will be determined in accordance with applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, negligence where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, or any statutory consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
29. Force Majeure and Events Outside Reasonable Control
Trishtara Kashi will not be treated as having breached these Terms where delay or non-performance results from circumstances outside reasonable control, including natural disaster, severe weather, epidemic, war, civil disturbance, governmental restriction, strike, transport disruption, courier or customs disruption, internet or electricity failure, artisan or production disruption, supplier failure beyond reasonable control or another comparable event.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate a material delay and identify an appropriate next step.
Nothing in this section permits Trishtara Kashi to retain payment indefinitely for an order that cannot be fulfilled where applicable law requires a refund or other remedy.
30. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in law, business operations, payment systems, shipping arrangements, services, website functionality or customer-support practices.
The latest version will be displayed on the website with its updated date.
Changes will apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise.
31. Severability, No Waiver and Interpretation
If a provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent legally possible.
A delay or failure by Trishtara Kashi to enforce a provision does not constitute a permanent waiver of that provision or another right.
Headings are provided for convenience and do not limit the meaning of a provision.
Where a subject is governed by a more specific policy, that policy will apply together with these Terms.
32. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
Subject to applicable consumer-protection law and any jurisdiction that cannot lawfully be excluded, disputes will be subject to the competent courts and authorities having jurisdiction in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from exercising a mandatory right to approach an appropriate consumer commission, authority or other forum available under applicable law.
