2. Product-Specific Information
Each saree is described individually using the product-level information, inspection, sourcing details, supplier or artisan communication and other records reasonably available for that product.
Product information may include:
- fabric or material;
- weaving or production technique;
- main colour and zari appearance;
- body, border and pallu details;
- blouse-piece information;
- approximate dimensions or weight;
- occasion suitability;
- care guidance;
- available services;
- product availability; and
- certification or supporting-document information, where applicable.
A statement applicable to one saree must not be assumed to apply to every product sold by Trishtara Kashi.
The product page or written order confirmation for the specific saree being purchased should be treated as the relevant product description.
3. Descriptive and Stylistic Terms
Trishtara Kashi makes reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions are clear and accurate.
However, words such as “rich”, “lightweight”, “soft”, “structured”, “lustrous”, “traditional”, “festive”, “bridal”, “premium”, “heirloom-inspired” or “occasion-ready” may involve visual, tactile or stylistic judgement.
Such expressions should be understood together with the listed material, weave, measurements, actual product photographs, videos and other product-specific details.
4. Handloom and Handwoven Claims
The words “handloom”, “handwoven”, “handcrafted” or similar expressions will be used only where Trishtara Kashi has reasonable product-level sourcing information or verification supporting that description.
A handloom or handwoven description does not automatically mean that the product:
- bears the Handloom Mark;
- is registered under India Handloom Brand;
- has been individually inspected by a government authority;
- carries a government certificate; or
- has any certification not expressly stated for that product.
Where a specific mark, certificate, registration or supporting document is available and relevant, it will be stated separately where appropriate.
5. Banarasi, Geographic-Origin and GI References
“Banaras Brocades and Sarees” is a registered geographical indication in India.
That general registration does not, by itself, mean that:
- every saree sold by Trishtara Kashi is individually GI-tagged or GI-certified;
- every product carries a GI label or certificate;
- Trishtara Kashi is itself a registered authorised user of the GI; or
- every product has been independently authenticated under the GI registration.
Any product-specific GI documentation, authorised-user information or supporting record will be stated only where it is available and verified.
Use of the words “Banarasi”, “Banaras”, “Varanasi” or “Kashi” in a product description must be read together with the product-specific sourcing and description. Those words do not, by themselves, represent that the individual saree carries a GI certificate.
6. Silk and Other Material Claims
Material descriptions such as “pure silk”, “katan silk”, “organza”, “kora”, “tissue”, “tussar”, “raw silk”, “mashru”, “satin”, “georgette” or similar terms will be used according to the information and sourcing details reasonably available for the particular product.
A statement that a product is “pure silk” does not automatically mean that it carries a Silk Mark certificate.
Where Silk Mark certification, laboratory testing or another supporting certificate is available for the exact product, it will be expressly stated where appropriate.
No certification should be inferred merely from a material description.
7. Zari Information
Zari appearance may vary because of metallic-thread composition, weaving technique, viewing angle, fabric colour, lighting, camera exposure, screen brightness and natural reflection.
Descriptions such as “light gold”, “antique gold”, “silver”, “dual-tone”, “tested zari”, “real zari” or similar terms will be used product by product.
High-value composition claims such as “real zari”, “pure zari”, “gold zari” or “silver zari” will be used only where reasonable supporting verification is available.
A gold-coloured appearance does not by itself mean that the zari contains gold. A silver-coloured appearance does not by itself mean that the zari contains silver.
8. Colour Representation
Trishtara Kashi makes reasonable efforts to photograph and display product colours accurately.
However, the colour visible on a customer’s screen may differ from the physical saree because of:
- mobile, laptop or monitor settings;
- screen brightness and display calibration;
- camera processing;
- indoor, outdoor, flash or studio lighting;
- image compression and browser rendering;
- fabric lustre;
- zari reflection; and
- surrounding colours.
A saree may therefore appear slightly lighter, darker, warmer, cooler or more saturated in person.
A minor colour variation arising from these factors will not automatically constitute a product defect. A claim may still be considered where the colour is materially different from the written description and actual product representations provided by Trishtara Kashi.
9. Colour Names
Colour names are practical descriptions and may be interpreted differently by different people.
Terms such as red, maroon, wine, rani pink, fuchsia, emerald, bottle green, teal, ivory, beige, gold or antique gold may refer to a range of nearby shades.
Where colour precision is important, customers should request additional photographs, daylight photographs, close-up images, written colour clarification or a personal video-shopping session before completing the purchase.
10. Fabric Lustre and Reflective Appearance
Silk, zari, tissue, satin and other lustrous materials may reflect light differently from different angles.
As a result:
- the saree may appear to change shade;
- zari may look brighter or softer;
- the pallu may appear different from the body;
- folded areas may appear darker;
- photographs taken under different lighting may not look identical; and
- video and still photographs may show different tones.
These reflective characteristics are not automatically defects.
11. Handloom and Craft Variations
Where a product is specifically described as handloom, handwoven, handcrafted or artisan-made, it may contain minor variations or irregularities such as:
- slight unevenness in weaving;
- minor yarn variation, joins, slubs or knots;
- small differences in motif alignment or repeated motifs;
- minor selvedge irregularities;
- minor weaving marks;
- slight variation in zari placement; or
- minor colour-distribution variation arising from the handmade process.
Such characteristics may arise from hand production and do not automatically constitute a manufacturing defect.
A claim may still be considered where the product is materially defective, damaged, incorrect or materially different from the confirmed description or actual product representations.
12. Loose Threads and Finishing
A limited number of loose or untrimmed threads may occasionally be present in woven sarees.
Where such threads are part of normal finishing and can be safely trimmed without affecting the weave, they will not automatically be treated as a material defect.
Customers should not pull a loose thread. Where uncertain, the customer should contact Trishtara Kashi before trimming, altering or using the product.
13. Motif, Border and Pallu Placement
Motif position and repetition may vary slightly because of saree length, pattern repeat, weaving, finishing, folding, draping or hand production.
Product photographs may show selected portions of the saree. Customers should review the available full-body image, body details, border close-up, pallu, blouse piece, reverse side and product video where provided.
14. Blouse Piece
Where a blouse piece is included, the product page will ordinarily state its relevant details, such as whether it is attached or separate, approximate length, colour, border and design information.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the included blouse piece is supplied unstitched.
A stitched blouse shown on a model or in a styled image may be a styling representation and is not included merely because it appears in the image.
Blouse stitching, alteration or another service is not included in the saree price unless expressly confirmed in writing.
15. Styled Blouses, Jewellery and Accessories
Jewellery, underskirts, stitched blouses, footwear, props, furniture, décor and accessories shown in photographs are not included with the saree unless expressly stated.
A styled blouse may be created for photography, digitally visualised, AI-assisted, designed using the included blouse fabric, made from a separate fabric or presented only as styling inspiration.
Customers should rely on the written blouse-piece and included-components description for what is supplied.
16. Product Measurements
Saree, blouse-piece, border and related measurements are approximate unless expressly stated otherwise.
Minor differences may arise because of manual measurement, fabric tension, selvedge, finishing, folding, weaving, tassels or measurement technique.
An insignificant difference in an approximate measurement will not automatically constitute a defect.
Where a particular measurement is essential, the customer should request written confirmation before payment.
17. Product Weight
Where weight is stated, it is approximate.
Actual weight may vary because of the blouse piece, tassels, fall-pico, packaging, measurement scale, moisture conditions and minor production differences.
Courier chargeable weight may differ from the physical product weight because packaging dimensions may also be considered.
18. Photography, Cropping and Image Editing
Product photographs may be cropped, straightened, resized, compressed, background-cleaned or reasonably adjusted for brightness and clarity.
Reasonable editing may be used for presentation consistency, but it must not be understood as a guarantee that the product will appear identical under every lighting condition or on every screen.
The written product description and actual product-detail imagery should be read together.
19. AI-Assisted and Editorial Images
Some website, catalogue, social-media or product visuals may be created or enhanced using AI-assisted tools or editorial presentation.
Such visuals may illustrate:
- a possible drape;
- styling inspiration;
- occasion suitability;
- editorial presentation;
- blouse-design possibilities; or
- brand storytelling.
AI-assisted or editorial images are visual representations and do not replace actual product-detail photographs, videos or written product information.
They may not reproduce every motif, border, pallu, zari detail, colour, proportion or blouse detail with complete accuracy.
No material product specification should be inferred from an AI-assisted or editorial image unless that specification is separately confirmed in the written product information or actual product-detail imagery.
20. Actual Product Images as the Primary Visual Reference
Where both styled visuals and actual product-detail images are provided, the actual product-detail images and written description should be treated as the primary reference for:
- weave and texture;
- body motifs;
- border and pallu;
- blouse piece;
- colour and zari appearance; and
- product condition.
Customers should contact Trishtara Kashi before payment where any difference between a styled visual and an actual product image is material to the purchase decision.
21. Model Appearance and Draping
The way a saree appears when worn may vary according to the wearer’s height, body shape, draping style, pleat width, petticoat, blouse cut, footwear, lighting and styling.
A model or styled photograph is not a guarantee that the saree will drape or appear identically on every customer.
22. Personal Video Shopping
Customers may request a personal video-shopping session before purchase.
During the session, Trishtara Kashi may show the main colour, body, border, pallu, blouse piece, reverse side, zari reflection, fabric movement and other available product details.
Video quality and colour may still be affected by internet connection, lighting and device display.
A video-shopping session is intended to improve product understanding but cannot guarantee identical colour rendering on every screen.
23. Product Availability and Reservation
Many sarees may be limited in quantity, unique or available as a single piece.
A product shown online may be sold through another official channel before website inventory updates.
Adding a product to a cart, enquiry, WhatsApp shortlist, customer account or—where such a feature is available—a wishlist or saved collection does not reserve it.
Availability is ordinarily confirmed only after payment verification, stock verification and written or electronic order confirmation from Trishtara Kashi.
24. Packaging Appearance
Packaging shown in promotional photographs may differ from the packaging used for a particular shipment because of product size, order value, packaging availability, protection requirements, courier requirements, seasonal presentation or international-shipping requirements.
Any complimentary box, card, ribbon, bag or accessory may vary unless expressly included as part of the confirmed order.
25. Fall-Pico, Tassels, Stitching and Other Services
Where a customer requests fall-pico, tassel work, stitching, alteration or another customer-specific service:
- the service may alter the original product;
- minor variations may occur in thread colour or finishing;
- the dispatch timeline may be extended; and
- change-of-mind cancellation, return or exchange will not ordinarily be accepted once customer-approved work begins.
This does not remove a genuine claim relating to an incorrect product, material transit damage, pre-existing material defect, materially incorrect customisation by Trishtara Kashi or a product materially different from what was expressly agreed.
26. Saree Care
Customers should follow the product-specific care guidance provided on the product page, packaging or written communication.
Unless otherwise stated, professional dry cleaning is recommended for premium sarees.
Customers should avoid machine washing, harsh detergent, bleach, prolonged moisture, direct perfume exposure, harsh ironing, improper storage and pulling loose threads.
Damage caused after delivery by incorrect washing, storage, ironing, chemical exposure, alteration, normal wear or customer handling is not treated as an original product defect.
27. Product Suitability
Suggestions regarding weddings, bridal wear, festivals, ceremonies, gifting or other occasions are stylistic recommendations.
The customer remains responsible for deciding whether a product is suitable for personal taste, occasion, dress code, climate, comfort, cultural preference, delivery timeline and intended use.
Customers should disclose important requirements before purchasing.
28. Product Comparison
Differences between two products in price, weight, texture, motif, zari, technique, finish, material or appearance do not necessarily indicate that one product is defective.
Each saree should be assessed according to its own confirmed description and actual product representations.
29. Certification and Logo Use
Trishtara Kashi will not claim or display “GI-certified”, “GI-tagged”, Handloom Mark, India Handloom Brand, Silk Mark, government-certified, real-zari certified or a similar certification unless its use is supported and appropriate for the relevant product or business context.
The absence of a certification statement means that the customer should not assume such certification.
The absence of a certificate does not, by itself, determine whether a saree is handwoven, silk or Banarasi. Such descriptions will depend on the product-specific sourcing and verification information reasonably available.
30. Customer Review Before Purchase
Before payment, customers should review:
- product title and description;
- material and weave;
- colour and zari;
- body, border and pallu;
- blouse piece;
- measurements and price;
- actual product images and videos;
- availability;
- care instructions;
- shipping timeline;
- cancellation terms; and
- Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy.
Any question that is important to the purchase decision should be raised before payment.
31. Eligible Product Concerns
This Disclaimer does not prevent a customer from reporting a legitimate concern involving:
- a wrong product;
- material transit damage;
- a material manufacturing or pre-existing product defect;
- a missing component expressly confirmed as included; or
- a product materially different from the written description or actual product representations provided by Trishtara Kashi.
Such concerns will be handled under the Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy and applicable law.
32. Reporting a Product Concern
A visible issue should ordinarily be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
A defect that was not reasonably discoverable during an initial inspection should be reported promptly after discovery.
The customer should provide the order number, a clear written explanation, relevant photographs and—where available—an unboxing video or other reasonable evidence.
The absence of one particular form of evidence will not automatically defeat a genuine claim where the matter can otherwise be reasonably verified.
The product should not be used, washed, cut, stitched, altered or returned without written guidance where doing so could affect verification, except where reasonably necessary to discover a latent issue.
33. Verification and Available Remedies
All product concerns are subject to reasonable verification and, where appropriate, inspection.
Depending on the nature of an approved claim and product availability, an appropriate remedy may include rectification, replacement, partial refund, store credit accepted by the customer or full refund, as described in the Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy and required by applicable law.
This Disclaimer is intended to clarify reasonable product variation. It is not intended to excuse a materially defective, damaged, incorrect or materially misrepresented product.
34. Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes, restricts or overrides any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where this Disclaimer conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, the applicable legal requirement will prevail.
