THE BEGINNING

It Began Long Before Trishtara Kashi.

Sarees were part of my life long before they became my work. My father once ran a saree business, but losses eventually forced him to close it and move into employment. Even then, the desire to build something meaningful around sarees remained quietly with me. After graduation, I too chose the security of a job—but that connection never truly left.

Years later, working in accounts at a firm dealing in handloom Banarasi sarees became an education far beyond numbers. I learned to look past colour and price—to understand weave, zari, craftsmanship, finishing, authenticity and the true value behind a saree. More importantly, I learned how much trust a woman places in the person guiding her, especially when she is choosing for a wedding, a celebration or a memory she hopes to preserve for years.

During the pandemic, as more women began selecting sarees through WhatsApp and video calls, the real gap became clear. Access had become easier, but confidence had not. When a woman cannot touch the fabric, experience its drape or see its true character in person, she does not simply need more options—she needs honest answers, thoughtful guidance and someone who understands how important that choice is.

Trishtara Kashi was created to bridge that gap—to make choosing a Banarasi saree feel personal, transparent and reassuring. A place where heritage is respected, every relevant detail is explained honestly, and each saree is considered not only for its weave and craftsmanship, but for the woman, occasion and memory it may become part of.

My promise is simple: to tell you what matters, guide you without pressure, and select every handloom saree with the same care I would expect for my own family.
